PERMEABLE PAVERS are now permitted in the Village of Great Neck as a cost effective alternative to driveways and patios requiring traditional concrete drywells.  This environmentally friendly solution reduces Long Island Sound and tributary water pollution.

Here's how permeable pavers work: Storm water from rainfall is captured and channeled to a gravel sub base where the rain water is slowly absorbed by the soil.

To see how permeable pavers look visit the new visitor parking areas at Great Neck Village Hall, 61 Baker Hill Road, Great Neck NY.

ADDED BENEFITS:100% maintenance free, no catch basins to maintain- no drywells to clean out. Durable concrete pavers are stronger than ordinary concrete and clean easily, especially oil stains. Unlike asphalt driveways no periodic resurfacing is ever needed. Unlike poured concrete no patching and crack repairs are ever needed. Unlike gravel driveways, pavers are easy to shovel and plow after snow storms. Concrete pavers are the ideal solution for driveways, walkways and patios. Permeable concrete pavers last forever!
